American Watercraft Association (AWA) to relocate operations to
Washington, D.C.
Washington,
DC - The American Watercraft Association will move its operations to
the nation's capitol. Moving from California to Washington, D.C.
will allow the personal watercraft users' group to greater
strengthen and unify the watercraft community, ensuring regulators
and legislators have a strong physical presence before them
representing personal watercraft owners and enthusiasts.
This move also allows the AWA to work closely alongside other
outdoor and recreational interest groups in the nation's capitol.
This will foster more cohesive grassroots coalition building and
communications. These relationships help ensure fair treatment and
continued access to America's public waterways for personal
watercraft enthusiasts.
Details about the new AWA office in Washington, DC have not been
finalized and will continue to develop over the coming weeks. This
decision, supported by AWA's Board, aims to better serve the
Association's membership of personal watercraft enthusiasts and
dealers.
Operations of the International Jet Sports Boating Association
(IJSBA) are not affected by this move and that organization will
remain in its current west coast location.
