AWA
REQUIREMENTS
The Great Lakes PWC Rally Series sanctioned by the
American Watercraft Association (AWA). All
participants must be a current AWA member and present proof of valid
membership in order to compete. If you do not have a AWA membership card
with you be prepared to purchase a membership. AWA memberships are $24 per year.
Family memberships are also available at a cost of $10 per person foe each
additional family member residing at the same address.

can join at each event, on the internet via our on-line registration, by calling the
AWA at (949) 598-5860 or go to www.awahq.org
. SAFETY
GEAR
A U.S. Coast Guard approved Type III life vest, in sound condition,
must also be worn at all times while on the water. Wetsuits, protective footwear
and eyewear are highly recommended. EVENT
SIGN IN
Whether
pre-registered on not, every participant is required to check in, sign the waiver
and release, get a wristband, pick up your Poker Run map, safety
information, etc. Check-In time will be announced soon. DRIVER'S
MEETING
It is
mandatory that all participants attend the driver's meeting at each event.
The Event Coordinator will inform all the participants of the local
watercraft rules and regulations.
The driver's meeting will
take place at 11:30 am at the each Poker Run event. You will be instructed where to
meet when you check-in at each event. START/FINISH
PROCEDURES
All events will start
and finish from the same location. Riders are not allowed to leave on
the Poker Run until after the drivers meeting at each event. PRIZES/AWARDS Participants
will compete for medals and prizes donated by several supporting sponsors.
