SEA-DOO FIRST AWARD
January 21,
2010 - Sea-Doo continues it’s support of the Mark Hahn
Memorial PWC race with the announcement that for the second
year the outstanding pit crew will win the prestigious
“Sea-Doo X-Team Pit Challenge” award. This coveted trophy,
along with a cash prize will be presented to the team that
performs the most notable pit stop during the grueling 300
mile race on Lake Havasu, regardless of the manufacturer of
their PWC. There is no other race in the sport where the
racers actually come onto the beach for true “pit-stops” as
fuel has to be added many times. The “Sea-Doo X-Team Pit
Challenge” award is most appropriate for this race is truly
a team event.
This is in
addition to repeating the “Sea-Doo First” award and cash
prize to be presented to the first team to finish the race
on a Sea-Doo, irrespective of position. Jim Russell of DSM
Events, the producers of the event said “We are grateful to
Sea-Doo and BRP . Without the generosity of firms such as
them we would be unable to produce this, the longest PWC
race in the world”.

The Mark Hahn
Memorial Havasu 300 Team Race is a stand alone event to honor our
fallen friend Mark Hahn. It is not part of the annual point race and
therefore there will be five (6) classes only, as listed on the
entry form. Race course will be approximately 8 miles long duration
will be 6 hours
or 300 miles. Race will start at 9:30 am..
Get your team set and your entry in early to avoid the
$25.00 late fee if your entry is not received by DSM one (1) week
prior to the race. The classes and entry fees are listed on the
entry form. DSM will
accept VISA, MASTERCARD or a check for the entry fee to make payment
very easy. If anyone has a problem with this entry system or wants
to make special arrangements, please contact Jim Russell at DSM immediately
at (928) 764-2210 in an effort to limit the confusion on race day
and insure that the race gets started exactly on time. All entrants MUST
have eight inch black numbers on a white background on both
sides and nose of your boat to be scored. Numbers will NOT
be available at the race site on race day.
Great Awards
Once again great awards will be
awarded at the event -
1st through 3rd place in each class. The awards are
really special for this event, AND there is a growing pile of
merchandise that has been donated by friends and supporters of Mark
Hahn that will be doled out to make sure that EVERYONE who competes
receives something to take home as a memento to remember this great
event!
