August 16, 2010 - With 3 weeks remaining to the 2010
Hydro-Turf Watercross Nationals, we have received many phone calls recently
about the event. The link below is answers to the most common
questions.
To Reserve an RV or Tenting
Camping spot call (615) 889-7050 and ask for TRICIA ext 220. THE
RV/TOTERHOME PARKING FEE IS $30 per night with NO minimum fee this year.
If you are pitching a tent the fee is $18.50 per night. You must ask
for Tricia at extension 220 to reserve a camping/RV spot. Please note
that this is the ONLY event that Nashville Shores allows camping at. No
other event that they host is it allowed or do they allow the general public
to camp at Nashville Shores. If you do not ask for TRICIA at extension 220
the summer help will tell you the park does not allow camping.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Schedule Change - After Evaluating the
number of heats to be run at the 2010 Watercross Nationals, the APBA has
made the decision to reduce racing to 2 days (Saturday and Sunday) and make
Friday a practice day. With a small reduction in classes being
offered, a Friday practice session and no Highpoints Awards the schedule was
able to be condensed without reducing laps run in each class. Friday
September 3rd will now be a practice day from 3pm to 6pm. There will
also be a last chance practice each morning from those that can not make the
Friday practice session. The park will be open to those wanting to
come early and test, practice, ride and hang out in Nashville - although
like always the waterpark is only open, Saturday, Sunday and Monday that
time of year. So please check out the revised Competition Guide below.
A few people have spread a
rumor that Nashville Shores will not allow camping this year for the
Watercross Nationals. This is not the case. Our event is the ONLY
EVENT that the park has allowed camping for the past 8 years. If just
call Nashville Shores and ask about camping to the receptionist will tell
you that the park does not have camping. To Reserve an RV or
Tenting Camping spot call
(615) 889-7050 and ask for
TRICIA PRINCE ext 220 or e-mail
tprince@nashvilleshores.com.
There is a minimum
charge of $120 (4 nights) to stay on site with an RV or camper at Nashville
Shores. There is a smaller fee if you are tenting it. We will be
using the left side of the park and point this
year for RV parking and tent camping like the first year we were there.
The right area of the park which was our overflow parking is now a $3
million dollar wave pool and lazy river. The park has doubled in size
from 2009! Nashville Shores will be awesome in 2010!
